What idea do you have to address the problem?

Expansion of City Clean-Up Corps Beautification Program with a focus on Graffiti Removal within the confines of the 67th and 70th Precincts. City Clean-Up Corps is a current city-funded program that allows community residents and neighbors the paid opportunity to intern for organizations and transform their neighborhoods. This program should be expanded to the end of 2022 rather than ending in April 2022. This program will serve inner-city youth ages 15-21 within the 67th and 70th precincts that have high rates of gang violence. 14 gang members ages 15-21 within the 70th precinct were all indicted in 2021 and involved with 11 shootings. Programs like this one will serve as a direct response to gang violence by eliminating graffiti that is located in gang territories and providing youth within the same ages of 15-21 a stable income and a positive relationship with the police.
