What problem would you like to solve?

Lack of information and community engagement in the South Bronx, leading to a lack of public safety. Only 57% of the residents in Bronx Community District 1 feel that their neighbors could be relied upon.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

It is important because the lack of information and community organizing leads to disarray in the community, diminished public safety and access to services, and lack of understanding of the resources available.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

The idea is a program dedicated to building block associations across Mott Haven, Melrose, and Port Morris.

    Who would that help?

All residents, homeowners, and business owners of the South Bronx.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

    Mott Haven, Port Morris, Melrose
