What problem would you like to solve?

I would like to address the lack of programs and services for young people in Woodhaven.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Programs for young people help to support students along their educational and personal journies while also building friendships and communities. It is relevant for our community as engaging young people in these programs help to ensure that they stay out of trouble.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

My idea is to strengthen the programs that are currently running in the Woodhaven Library and add additional programs focusing on music, science, art, and culture. Additionally, creating relationships between the library and local schools like PS 60 and PS 97 to ensure parents and students are aware of such programs.
