What problem would you like to solve?
I would like to address the challenges for young and emerging artists and the isolation and challenges of older artists.
Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?
Artists are an essential part of NYC's identity and culture as well being central to our local economy and tourism. For young and older artists they often fall outside of consistent economic and development opportunities.
What idea do you have to address the problem?
A paid mentoring and exchange program that would pair artist 18-26 and artists 50 and up. This program would support mentor sessions, skills exchange, and the creation of new work and public programming.
