Essential

Clean Neighborhood Photography Program

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

We have a proliferation of garbage, especially construction garbage on our streets. It makes the community unsightly and lowers the quality of life. Neighbors want to get involved in stopping this and help enforcement officials do their work.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

It is important to solve because people are thinking about leaving the community because of the sanitation issues. This will help to empower people and keep the block clean and improve the neighborhood.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We would like a program that would provide cameras and/or teach people how to take good photos with their phones of the sanitation conditions in the neighborhood.

Who would that help?

It would help neighbors and seniors who don't have great photo-taking skills be proactive in documenting what is going on in the community and hopefully help with deterrence too

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

East Flatbush
