What problem would you like to solve?

Caribbean/West Indian pride and cultural acceptance.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Coming from a high school where its rare to come across Caribbean students, let alone people who know about this corner of the world at all, It is all the more important for us to exercise our cultural pride and unify Caribbean people everywhere with our memories, lived or passed down of time spent in the Caribbean.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Create murals, connect across age generations, bring life to Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park, paying tribute to the islands we came from, but building a cultural connection for the future.

    Who would that help?

The first generation Caribbean students for them to have pride in their culture

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?
