Mental Health Awareness Workshops

The Mental Health awareness workshop project in Sunset Park will consist of alternating mental health workshops and self-care events monthly in partnership with local institutions such as schools, churches, libraries, and more. These mental health workshops will educate community members on various topics such as how to spot the signs of mental health challenges, offer assistance, and connect individuals with the appropriate community resources. The self-care activities will supplement these workshops by promoting skills around relaxation, emotional regulation, and wellness. Together, these events aim to destigmatize mental illness, increase awareness on resources, and build community resilience for the ultimate goal of improving the mental well-being of Sunset Park residents.
