Idea Submission for The People's Money:: Creating an after-school program with a focus on fine arts that aid in the children's ability of social-emotional learning and provide them with a safe and non-judgmental space. We would also include an advertising budget that includes utilizing social media to inform students about the program.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?: Chilren need more access to art, especially being in such a multi-cultural society. Schools try to loop-hole art using AI, therefore stripping children of the skills they gain from traditional art . By revising the curriculum to include more traditional metrics of art in every capacity within the classroom, children can gain more insight into the value of art and throughout their lifetime.
