Throughout four deliberation sessions, Assembly Members decided to advance this idea to one of the final borough ballots for New Yorkers to vote on. The idea has been edited by Assembly Members and CEC staff to fit ballot character limits and remove all references to specific institutions and geographies. Sowing the Future in the Community

- Recreational activities that strengthen community bonds among children in temporary foster care. These activities could include: dance classes, forming musical groups, group outings, movie nights, and more.
- What is the problem your idea aims to address?
- Currently, children in temporary foster care do not have enough recreational opportunities that strengthen their sense of community. Investing in them is investing in the future.
