Idea Submission for The People's Money:: The idea is to provide additional resources to providers to get food delivered to pantries. For example, stores like stop and shop, shoprite, cvs and other stores throw out perfectly good food like bagels, bread, etc...at the end of the day because there isn't a program in the Bronx that can pick up and deliver the goods to the pantries.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?: The Bronx is experiencing a food desert. Food benefits, snap are being reduced or cut off. Resources that currently help pantries are being limited due to budget cuts.
