Car Seats for Parents with low-income

Avatar: Davina Ramos Davina Ramos
Idea Submission for The People's Money:
Create a program that works with local hospitals that gives out free car seats to families in need that qualify with low or no income.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
The idea addresses health and safety of innocent newborn children. Children should never suffer because the parents don't have enough money. This is a basic need in our world today and it shouldn't be too much to ask to have children safe in a car seat. It would be ideal to give out car seats to grow with the child or create an ongoing car seat program that low-income families can access as they need age appropriate car seats. If we are smart then we can create a bigger program where all parents can also donate used car seats in good condition so then they can be reused.
Which groups does your idea focus on? Select all that apply
Youth (under 24)
Public Housing Residents
People with Disabilities
Limited English Speakers
Parents
