Describe the challenge you want to address:
the neighborhoods north of 96th street are neglected with respect to garbage and debris collection. it’s a clear case of the broken windows theory. people have no respect for the neighborhood because the city has no respect for it. morningside park is a beautiful park that is allowed to be overrun with homeless people and garbage. on too of this people doing drugs next to childrens playgrounds only adds to the problems. too many times i walk outside to human feces on the street or garbage from homeless people going through trash. people who work to live here are disregarded completely
What is the solution to the challenge?
dedicate people to keep our park and surrounding neighborhoods clean and start enforcing the laws on people doing drugs next to playgrounds.
