Describe the challenge you want to address:: Environmental issues are big in my community -- a lot of the buildings and houses use oil and natural gas, and there can be a lot of pushback against greenspace. If we had more funding and resources for how to comply with laws like LL97, people would see the problem and do their part to solve it.
What is the solution to the challenge?: Give people the resources they need to succeed Local Law 97. A lot of people, like the co-op Glen Oaks, don't want ot comply because they odn't feel the environment is worth spending money on or they don't have enough to comply. I think if buildings could receive funding and guidance on how to comply, it would open their eyes a little more to the problem and help them do their part.
