Describe the challenge you want to address:
We are not aware of any extracurricular programs or services offering informational and educational programs and services regarding financial matters. Youth and others lack basic understanding of finance, budgeting, saving, investing, credit, debt, taxes, and even how to write a check or balance a checkbook. This puts them at a disadvantage and in a low income area may become a self fulfilling prophecy. People become prey for predatory lenders and scammers. It continues a cycle of poverty or financial insecurity. We need to break that cycle.
What is the solution to the challenge?
Robles Agency Corp. can implement all inclusive afterschool and extracurricular programs and services in English and Spanish to concentrate on understanding financial concepts and practices, taxes, investing, credits and loans, checking, savings, so that they can better understand and proceed to go forward with stability. We can provide professionals and entrepreneurs who will inform and teach in English and Spanish. We can implement role playing exercises and models so that those attending will get hands on experience and confidence to make sense of all concepts of dollars and cents.
