Describe the challenge you want to address:: Low literacy levels among youth prevent access to educational and career opportunities, compounded by limited resources for after-school programs.
What is the solution to the challenge?: Establish an after-school literacy program focusing on culturally relevant material and mentorship from community leaders to improve reading and leadership skills among youth. The program would run twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM during the school year, with additional Saturday sessions from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for project-based activities.
