Ar open streets style event have a one action volunteer contribution- join a few people for fifteen minutes to prune a bush, weed, mulch, compost, help with a donation, deliver a meal or a short simple safe low intensity step in a broader scale multistage project like transforming neglected urban areas (pick up refuse for 5 min). Maybe they can find out about it and volunteer as they do their open streets activity.
