"The recent influx of immigrants has left a lot of social service-related organizations under duress, largely due to the incredibly high volume. While there are a variety of different organizations that provide assistance/resources/services for these individuals, the hard part is oftentimes making the immigrants aware of them. Also, a lot of the organizations provide services via telephone, which might make it hard for individuals without a cell phone to receive assistance. A physical building/location/office where immigrants can receive assistance would be a great resource for individuals without a phone."
- Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

"Our idea is to fund a project in Manhattan that is focused on establishing and maintaining dedicated spaces that are equipped with resources. In this space, trained social workers and volunteers (and potentially lawyers) could proactively assist and guide immigrants, especially during the challenging winter months. This initiative would work in tandem with local community organizations and will prioritize the needs and rights of all New Yorkers. "
