Describe the challenge you want to address:
Affordability-whether in the form of cost of living/rent, how much fresh produce and healthy food options cost, education/childcare, etc
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
"Our group idea was to create community fridges that are funded and maintained by the city. These would be fridges placed in food-insecure areas (or low-income areas that might not have as many grocery/healthy food options), and would give community members access to fresh fruit/veggies/produce/poultry options. Ideally the fridge(s) would be replenished once a week or bi-weekly. Community members could also have the option to donate food items if they wish to do so. "
