Difficult for New Yorkers to get to know new people outside their circle. Language barriers get in the way of socializing as well as excessive services.

Not a lot of resources, kids may not be learning their families/elders stories or traditions as they get Americanized and they certainly don't get try their neighbors food.

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

Everyone's got to eat community based food and story sharing. Multi-generational groups (parents, kids, grands) choose a dish and a story to share from their culture.

CEC (or another group) translate the stories and food descriptions to multiple languages and diverse groups get together to share meals
