Describe the challenge you want to address:

There are limited options for affordable after-school care in Sunset Park and those that exist are all indoors at the schools or at the rec center. We have an incredible space in Sunset Park and I would like to see more free after-school programming for elementary-age kids that takes advantage of being outdoors.

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

A free after-school program that will pick up kids from elementary schools and provide 3 hours of after-school care in nature consisting of child-led play and exploring in Sunset Park. Working parents will have another option for affordable care and children will get to experience more play-time outdoors which is so important and can be in very limited supply with the current after-school options.
