Original Idea Voted on by New Yorkers: The program would provide vocational training to people 18 yrs and up. They would learn how to be independent contractors and get commercial and city contracts. At the end of the program job fairs would make solid connections.

How does your organization plan to bring this idea to life?
We will conduct our core program, Intro to AgTech, where participants will gain fundamental knowledge of sustainable agriculture, technology, and construction skills. They will then be placed into paid internships with local employers to jumpstart their careers.
What motivated your organization to apply to implement this idea?
Our team has over 7 years of workforce development experience which we've used to help secure more than 165 job placements for our alumni network in growing sectors. We specialize in coding/programming, sustainable farm system development and use these specialities to help empower youth with economic mobility.
How do you think this project will make a difference in your community?
Our project will make a difference by preparing young people who are disconnected from gainful career paths to emergent sectors that can help then gain economic mobility while developing sustainable food systems using integrative technologies.
