Essential

4.0 Project Implementation

What's happening during Project Implementation?

After the votes were counted, the Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) invited community-based organizations to apply and turn the 20 winning ideas into community projects. This includes five projects in the Bronx, five in Brooklyn, four in Manhattan, five in Queens, and one in Staten Island. These projects focused on a wide range of topics such as health & wellbeing, education, career development, accessibility, public safety, and arts & culture. The selected organizations have already implemented these community-driven projects as of October 2025.

Having someone I can trust to help me with groceries and pick up my medicine has changed my life. Before, I felt trapped at home. Now, I feel connected to the community again and know there are people who care about me.
