Community Garden

What problem would you like to solve?

Food insecurity, and offering healthy foods.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Even before the city closed down, food insecurity has been an issue, especially access to healthy foods uptown.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Give tax credits to owners of empty lots to use as gardens and then connect with green thumb to locate local interest in volunteering at garden. Raise food for the free fridge, with a percentage saved for each volunteer to take for their family use.

Who would that help?

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Manhattan
