The confusion and lack of knowledge of fire code laws and policies

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

The Bronx has had numerous fires this year in buildings that have had outstanding violations that were not investigated or resolved properly

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Require residential and commercial buildings post updated safety procedures for people to be able to access that outline how certain places like fire escapes and equipment are needed to be kept. Also allow the public to have access of reports of recent fire violations on sites like 311. Additionally, ensure that local government officials investigate reports of potential hazards.
