What problem would you like to solve?

Home Care Workers Don't Get Paid Enough Money

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important because homecare workers help keep people with disabilities and seniors living in their own home in the community. Living in the community leads to more fulfilling and longer lives.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

I think Home Health Aides, CDPAP workers, or homecare nurses should get paid a good living wage and not minimum wage. Homecare workers and nurses leave their clients to go to different higher paying jobs and the client is left without help

Who would that help?

This will help people with disabilities and seniors live longer active lives in the community and not nursing homes.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Bronx
