Essential

Eliminate Lawlessness

Avatar: Community Member Community Member

What problem would you like to solve?

There seems to be lawlessness all over this city -- mostly represented by the countless motorized, unlicensed two wheel vehicles that go on sidewalks - wrong way on one way streets, in bike lanes, etc. not stopping for red lights, etc.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This affects all of us every day, all day. It is dangerous and makes every stroll, bike ride, or car trip unpleasant and unsafe. Daily I am almost run down by one of these "bikes."

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Use funds for a task force just focused on getting these vehicles off the streets and get them licensed. The licensing fees will allow this taskforce to eventually fund themselves.

Who would that help?

Everyone -- all boroughs

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

all boroughs
