Social Skills addressing the rise in violence our community youth are engaging in

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Hundreds of black and brown youths in our communities lose their lives or opportunities; and are being derailed because of lack of skills in the area of conflict resolution and the understanding of how to resolve conflict peacefully, respectively and with dignity

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Project based programing whereas; the youth will create media and art projects centered around peace in our street and effect ways and solutions to resolve conflict creatively showcasing their ideas. in addition, facilitated workshops that the youth will be trained and receive certificate in peer mediation

Who would that help?

Geared to Youth ages 10- 15 yrs , their families and public safety
