What problem would you like to solve?

Financial Literacy and independence for youth

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Being able to support yourself and family in the future

Alot of people are staying poor because they don't know how to manage their money or spend unwisely. Our community has summer youth program employment and most always spend it all without saving or a plan to save because they don't know how.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Have programing that include financial planning from young age

Take youth to financial institutes to see how money grows and ways to earn money on your money.

introduce youth to owning a business as well as finance jobs by taking them to banks and businesses as examples careers of the business world which they can become a successful part of

Give a small stipend to open a youth bank account and promote saving habits for a better financial future.

Do a few mock business meetings including lunch or dinner

    Who would that help?

I would help youth now and also the adults they will become

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?
