What problem would you like to solve?

May immigrants parents don’t know how to help there child with homework and they don’t understand how exactly to do.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

because it will help grow and integration of the immigrant community - many kids in my school don’t do homework as well and they do need help from someone - giving them that support will make a very big impact in the growth.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Start a after school program in P.s 35 Nathaniel Woodhull School to get the help to kids from grade 1 - 5 dedicate some hours to work with kids either in person or remote. Any kids who need help can sign up and either teachers - any volunteers parents - PTA - hire someone to help kids understand the home and support them answering the question.

    Who would that help?

All the kids in school or in the neighborhood.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

    Hollis/Hillside
