What problem would you like to solve?

Garbage on the streets and sidewalks attracting rats and roaches; non-bird feces discarded randomly on the ground.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

For health and wellness, particularly for children playing in the playgrounds, school yards, and parks, we need to have a cleaner environment and curb the rat and feces problem.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Educational programs to teach our youth the importance of sanitation, recycling, and cleaning up non-bird feces; educational programs that are fun for children and help to build pride in the community by improving our surroundings.

    Who would that help?

Everyone who lives and works in the South Bronx, particularly the children of Mott Haven.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

    Mott Haven, Port Morris, Melrose
