What problem would you like to solve?

lack of activities and programs for youth and families to interact in cultural proceses like Rueda de Cumbia in dance and music that seeks harmony.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Because cultural activities such as Cumbia, as colombian folk rhythm, in a circle with dance and music helps the community to grow strong, practicing interactions in harmony, verbal communications, rhythm and openness to multicultural participation.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

To generates weekly / weekends and or Aftherschool activities and programs for youth and families to interact with Cumbia with dance and music in circle in outdoors, and indoors spaces, to seeks harmony among the participants creating and developing safe comunication skills, singing, playing drums and dancing.

Youth, families, neighbors, communities, artist, dancers, musicians.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

This project will rotate to be done in Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island.
