What problem would you like to solve?

    Job training and worker rights.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

I think there are many people in the community that are without work and not interested in attending college, however they may be willing to attend trainings to learn a skill or a trade.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Job & vocational trainings in community centers and non profit organizations. You can partner with local unions who can provide training and information on available work that people can get into. Alternative jobs that do not require a full four year college degree, because not everyone wants to go to college or needs it to be successful.

    Who would that help?

I think more of the community would be able to sustain the living cost in NYC if they have a higher wage compared to the minimum wage that only is supplied in fast food restaurants, etc., These programs will help get them there.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

    Manhattan
