Essential

Subway Neighborhood Watch

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

Lack of safety when riding in the subway system. Too many mentally ill people not getting the help they need.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

If we don't feel safe on the trains, we can't move around the city to go to school or work.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Start a neighborhood watch group at each station so that issues can be reported promptly and hopefully addressed by the appropriate agencies.

Who would that help?

Everyone in NYC.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Morningside Heights and Hamilton Heights
