Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Many times I hear from parents that they didn't send their children to school because they didn't have clean uniforms or clothes. I have gone and bought laundry supplies for the families but then they didn't have the money to go to the laundry. No child should miss school because they don't have clean clothing. Also when the children come to school with dirty clothes the children around them make fun of them and tell them they smell. This gives the children low self-esteem and has caused fights in the classroom.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

I would like to have a washer and dryer donated to our school to make a laundry room. I can help families that cant afford to do laundry. It can keep the self esteem up of the children and can help with absenteeism
