Kids Introduction to Non-Typical Sports and Arts College Scholarship Program

What problem would you like to solve?

Many kids int he community lack access to college prep information and need safe access to activities to keep them off the streets and build life skills.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Keeping them occupied will make the community safer and give them opportunities for their future.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We need a kids sports/arts and culture program that would introduce them to non-typical sports like volleyball, lacrosse and sculpture. They are only seeing basketball as a way to et a scholarship but there won't be enough opportunities for them to get a scholarship in sports that have a lot of participation. They could increase their chances of getting a sports-related scholarship if they play non-typical sports.

Who would that help?

It would help youth in the community.
