Essential

Student Funding

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

I would like to solve the poor-funding in extracurricular activities in smaller schools.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

It's important to solve because certain students aren't able to participate in sports and clubs because their schools don't have access to provide them for students.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

An idea I have to help address the problem is so create fundraisers to help raise money for students and schools. Some fundraisers can take place during a culture festival which would also fall under Arts and Culture. Exposing these students would also fall under Arts and Culture. Exposing these students to cultural events would also help them connect with their culture as well as raising money for their school.

Who would that help?

Students.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Queens.
