Changes at "Retiree Assist After School Tutoring Program"

What problem would you like to solve?

We have children who have fallen behind because of the COVID pandemic. they need basic learning skills development. They are not learning math and a lot are blow reading level. There are some who cannot write. Other children have nowhere t o go after school and not homework help. There are also retirees who need activities to fill their time after they left their jobs.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

We need to find more people with skills to help occupy the time of and teach youth some skills and help with homework. The recent retirees in the community need activities to fill their time, and decrease isolation and boredom. Youth need to be off the streets and gaining skills that will help them to earn a living in the future. This joint program might help reduce the dropout rate

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Create a program that encourages retirees to bring their office skills to the classroom to help youth with homework, skills training, and resume assistance among other skills development activities.
