What problem would you like to solve?

Senior citizens don't get a lot of funding when it comes to retiring. When my dad tried applying for social security, they told him the maximum age where he can get the most amount of money is 67. The issue is, nobody wants to hire anyone within his age group therefore he does not know what jobs to apply for.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important to solve because our parents and older family needs to pay their bills still.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Currently, the age for retirement is 65 but social security does not often provide the amount of money that is needed to pay bills. For example, my dad is 64 and needs a new job but nobody wants to hire anyone around his age group so he is in a position where he is stuck. I think a useful thing would be if the city could do workshops where they introduce jobs that the senior citizens can apply to.
