    Overview of the Project -It’s Me: I Teach Students Mental Education carries a new scenes of Community for Young People by teach the importance of Mental Health Awareness. The program will include Youth researchers demonstrating a greater awareness of Mental needs who will teach other youth their ages Mental Health. The Youth will learn the difference between someone that’s Schizophrenic and someone that’s bipolar etc. They will also get information on how Mental Health is becoming a issue in the criminal justice system because most people are not receiving the proper medication that they should. 


    Which of the following issues does your project address?

    1. Issue 1 - Addressing Mental Health
    2. Issue 2 - Preparation for College and/or Career
    3. Issue 3 - Youth Advocacy Promotion


    All 3 because The Program is based on Mental Health Awareness, we’re using High School Students that’s on their way to College soon as Teachers/Leaders and it teaching the Youth to advocate for better treatment of the Mentally Challenged. 

    Youth Engagement - Currently we are facing difficult moments and the meaning of community appears to be deeper than what we most ever thought it would mean so now is the moment to start connecting and taking care of each other. The Youth will be free to share ideas for different activities that they can enjoy in order to lower down stress due to school, family or personally matters. A volunteer program would also be available on Days off to allow participants a deeper understanding of how to use social media as a path to find the proper resources to help them and those around them. 

    Budget - Your total project budget must equal $20,000 to be placed on the ballot for a youth vote. Please provide a brief description of what the funds would be used for to successfully implement your project. You will also need to download, fill in, and attach a full budget using this template.

    Money for program Director, Stipend for Youth, Carfare for outside events to promote Mental Health Awareness.

    Timeline- Please describe the timeline for the implementation and completion of the project. All work for this project must be completed by June 30, 2021, which is the end of the city’s fiscal year and the deadline for the funds to be spent.

    May - apply to take Thrivenyc test

    June - Take Test and Graduation Ceremony

IAMC entourages Community members to become certified in Mental Health First Aid. The program is for Adults and Youth. It helps them to learn the risk factors and warning signs associated with mental health and addiction related addictions. It’s teach how to help break the stigma. IAMC increases the level of understanding about how music has the power to help heal and treat a wide range of conditions including mental health illnesses. The purpose of the program is to teach people how to respond in crisis and non crisis situations.

    I confirm that my organization will be registered in the NYC Payee Information Portal and in PassPort, NYC’s online procurement system, in order to receive funding from the City of New York.
