We are proposing an 8-week program for teens (age 14-18) living in Bed-Stuy and surrounding neighborhoods focusing on financial literacy and emotional regulation in relationship to finances. This program aims to respond to a current of lack of financial literacy and emotional wellbeing in communities. Teens will receive a stipend for their participation in this program, and the program will be conducted in both English and Spanish. This program will end with a job fair and the teens will host two workshops themselves for other young people about financial skills and mental health regulation skills.
