Do you have specific Neighborhood(s) in mind?
Bronx
Which group(s) does your idea focus on? Select as many as apply.
Immigrants/ Migrants
"Black, Indigenous and/or People of Color"
Describe the challenge you want to address:
Trump was recently elected president and our community has a large population of newly arrived immigrants, many of whom are seeking asylum. We are concern that come January 2025, many immigrants are going to be vulnerable. They might not be aware of their rights.
What is the solution to the challenge?
We would like to to use the money for: 1. Workshops to know your rights. (ICE, Immigration, lawyers) 2.Awareness of shelters in NYC and other food resources. 3.Awareness and access to jobs. 4. Classes to equip immigrants with English language education.
