   10/10/2024 - 11/24/2024

   Idea Generation

   From October 10th to November 24th of 2024 residents submitted ideas for projects to address community needs.

   01/21/2025 - 02/02/2025

   Borough Assemblies

   From January to February of 2025, Borough Assemblies, made up of randomly selected community members, convened to discuss and select ideas that would end up on the borough ballots for citywide voting.

   05/14/2025 - 06/25/2025

   Citywide Voting

   Current Phase

   Between May and June of 2025, New Yorkers will have the opportunity to vote on how to spend part of the city budget to address community needs. Residents will be able to vote online or in-person, in multiple languages, and at sites across the five boroughs.

   10/15/2025 - 10/31/2026

   Project Implementation

   Community-based organizations take part in a competitive application process to implement the winning ideas. The Commission's implementation team will work closely with all organizations to ensure the projects are completed successfully.
