Although the products provided are free of charge, they aren't good quality products. They are small and can cause leaks which can be very uncomfortable when you are trying to focus on your education and learning. Besides that there is no place to store them inside the bathrooms as the containers that are supposed to hold them are out of regulation. They are the containers that require you to pay $0.25 to get menstrual products. However schools no longer use them as the DOE is giving them free of charge due to a new amendment instated in July 2024. As a result students have to walk to offices to get what they need. This is how students become embarrassed and scared because they might leak and stain themselves. \n\n

What is the solution to the challenge?

\n\n
The $50,000 budget should be distributed to all DOE schools so they can purchase pads, tampons and other hygiene products from brands students typically use. The budget should also be used to get better storage for products and should be placed in the bathroom.\n\n

Please provide your Zip Code

\n\n
10003\n\n

</xml>"]
