Describe the challenge you want to address:

In our community families do not have the access to provide fresh fruits and vegetables for their families. In addition, families do not have safe places for their children to play or engage in physical activities promoting healthy habits.

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

We plan to update our playgrounds with a walking track, turf fields for a variety of sports, handicap accessible playground equipment, sensory play areas which will be attached to the community garden that we plan to create. We plan to partner with school and community organizations to transform the space and promote family partnerships.
