Describe the challenge you want to address:
Our resident was a 16-year-old in a homeless shelter and it can be hard to engage in a fun and vibrant city without excess funds. Most things that are fun cost a lot of money which he doesn't have.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
A music after-school program for underprivileged youth with different options (i.e. guitar, DJing, etc.) would last for a few months to a year and would end with a concert to boost community engagement and have the children showcase their newly acquired talent. Learn music fundamentals in addition to making friends and having an adult to look up to.
