There has been inadequate public library system budget for author/illustrator talks to inspire children in the Coney Island community which is exacerbated due to the severe recent budget cuts to the Brooklyn Public Library.

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

I would like funding to provide further author/illustrator visits to Coney Island elementary schools where there is great demand for such events.
