Help Protect Coney Island From Climate Change

Avatar: Community Member Community Member

Because of its geography and projected sea level rise, Coney Island could be underwater by the end of the century. Students aren't learning about climate change or its solutions in school. The Resilient Schools Consortium (RiSC) program educates students about climate impacts, climate justice and resilience solutions and engages them in planting beach grass to stabilize dunes, prevent erosion, and protect nearby homes from flooding.
