Dogs with Dignity

In which borough should your idea take place? Manhattan

Do you have a specific neighborhood(s) in mind?

Upper East Side

Describe the challenge you want to address:

Everyone who wants to live on clean and safe streets

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

Launch a mass multimedia campaign that stresses the importance of streets and sidewalks free of dog droppings and urine. Today’s dog owners have forgotten or neglected their responsibility to curb their dogs. There need to be signs and instructions and poop bag dispensers and trash cans on every block and lots of messaging that dog droppings and urine cause odors and are unsafe for children, and older people can slip and fall. It stains the street and turns the neighborhood into a slum. Dogs need their dignity too. Curb your dog and make sure they urinate on the edge of the street not in the middle of the street. Also pass a law that all food and health related businesses must ask dog owners to show their support dog permit because most owners don’t have one but pretend to because they know they won’t be asked.
