How does your organization plan to bring this idea to life?
MARC will implement the Mothers Matter Initiative at HCCI, 263 West 163rd Street, NYC 10039. The project will provide workshops, peer support/seeking safety groups, and educational resources on maternal health and wellness. Collaboration with local healthcare providers will enhance outreach, while community engagement will ensure accessibility and effectiveness, fostering a supportive network for mothers.
What motivated your organization to apply to implement this idea?
MARC was motivated to apply for the Mothers Matter project to address maternal health disparities in the community. Our unique qualifications include extensive experience in community health and local partnerships. Our strengths lie in engaging diverse populations and providing culturally relevant resources. We bring a deep understanding of mothers’ needs and a commitment to empowerment.
How do you think this project will make a difference in your community?
This project will enhance maternal health by providing essential resources, education, and support networks for mothers. It addresses health disparities, promotes well-being, and fosters community, leading to healthier families and stronger neighborhoods. Empowering mothers creates a ripple effect, benefiting children and the entire community.

I’m excited to create a vibrant support network for mothers to share experiences and resources. I look forward to seeing empowered mothers build connections, improve health outcomes, and foster resilience in their families. Witnessing the positive impact on maternal mental health and community bonds will be truly rewarding!
How can someone participate or stay up to date on the project?
People can learn about and get involved in the Mothers Matter Initiative by visiting the Multi Assistance Resource Centers (MARC) website marcresources.org, where they can find detailed information, event updates, and ways to participate. Physical and digital flyers will be distributed in local communities and to our TRIE partners, with contact information for inquiries and involvement. Additionally, word of mouth through community and TRIE partners, local organizations, and social media will help spread the word and encourage participation.
