    Implementing Organization: Community Mediation Services

    Website: https://mediatenyc.org/

    Project Description:

Free arts programming for youth 12-17 to address the lack of free after schools programs in east Elmhurst. There is a new community center coming to the community, and the youth will help create a work of art that will be the centerpiece of the center. We plan to partner with several organizations in the community, including local business, schools and other stakeholders to design a program that provides the youth in this community with the ability to learn different kinds of art, building social connections with other youth, and be part of community led initiatives like the opening of a community center.

    Funding Amount: $50,000
